When the Rev. Mark Cerniglia lost his son in a tragic accident, the Greenville community was there for him.

It was three years ago in February that Cerniglia’s son Benjamin, a Marine helicopter pilot was training on the Arizona-California border for night maneuvers. Two helicopters crashed into each other, killing seven soldiers, including Benjamin.

The Greenville community rallied around Cerniglia.

“The support from the community was tremendous, not just from my own congregation, but from the entire Greenville community.”
