The Warehouse Journeymen

The Journeyman Program is one of the cornerstones of the Warehouse Theatre.  Five early career performers from around the nation are scouted, auditioned and hired to join us for an entire season.  The Journeymen mentor with the artistic and administrative staff to learn vital skills related to how a professional theatre runs from top to bottom.  They attend regular workshops covering Acting, Auditioning, the Business of Theatre, Voice and Speech, Movement, Ensemble, and Stage Combat.  They spend time with visiting actors, directors and designers to create a remarkably varied network of contacts.  They learn from these professionals and go on to work with them in the future.

The Journeymen become part of the Greenville community from the moment they arrive, and some stick around, becoming vibrant members of the community.  You can see the Journeymen in our Shakespeare in the Schools program, THIS WOODEN O, in the front of the house as ushers, greeters, concessions and box office, and on the Warehouse stage.

David comes to Greenville after 21 years of living in the snowy tundra that is Buffalo, NY. He just received his B.F.A. in Theater Studies from Niagara University this past May. He started off his professional career directing the 2007 season of N.U. Repertory Theater and has come to Greenville to further his professional career. David is excited to be able to bring Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Night’s Dream to Greenville students over the next year. In his spare time from the Warehouse David spends most of his afternoons at the South Carolina Children’s Theater as a teaching assistant.
